The only mention of tattoos in the Bible comes from the old testament in Leviticus 19:28 (NIV): “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.” Okay, but according to the New Testament what didJesus himself think of tattoos? It doesn’t say, but he definitely saw them and easily could have commented on them. Tattoos were around thousands of years prior to the first Christmas – many were quite large and elaborate (see multicolored example below). Even the three wise men might’ve had them. So why do I bring this up? Well, it’s because I have often heard from my clients that they feel ashamed of their tattoos.
All of us make artistic decisions we ultimately regret but no one expects you or your tattoos to be perfect. Besides, I can easily remove them with the first and only revolutionary PicoSure laser, which is obviously something our ancestors didn’t have access to. Undoubtedly, a good number of these mummies were less than thrilled with their ink and they had no recourse but to do a cover-up tattoo. Speaking of which, I do a ton of PicoSure fades for artists who perform cover-up tattoos.
If you have a tattoo you’re less than thrilled with give me a call at Austin Medspa and let’s talk about your total removal or fading options. Make no mistake, you are beautiful, and with my help and the PicoSure laser, you can achieve any look you desire. I won’t judge your ink and neither should anyone else.
When you’re pregnant you must abstain from anything that could harm your fetus, i.e. excessive alcohol, skydiving and PicoSure laser tattoo removal. While the overwhelming majority of tattoo inks are harmless to an adult, the same cannot be said for children, especially a developing embryo or fetus at any stage of development.
Tattoo inks contain a variety of heavy metals like iron and titanium, which when vaporized by the revolutionary one and only PicoSure laser, can wind up in the circulatory and lymph systems, and breast milk. Metals and foreign pigment particles can pass through the placenta and could potentially harm an unborn child so PicoSure laser tattoo removal treatments must be halted during pregnancy.
Additionally, if you think you might be pregnant you should not get a tattoo of any kind. Ink is injected during the tattooing process and travels through the blood and lymph system, which has the potential to cause birth defects or even worse. Additionally, if you’re breast feeding, please do not get a tattoo or PicoSure laser tattoo removal for the same reasons as listed above. When you’re ready, I’ll be here to successfully remove that ink like it never even happened.
“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” – Marie Curie
