PicoSure Clears Most Professional Tattoos In 4-7 Treatments

Why does the PicoSure laser require multiple treatments? Take a look at the image below; see all those tattoo ink particles mixed into the matrix of the skin cells?  The ratio of ink to cells is much greater than 1:1.  In fact, if there were only one particle of pigment to every skin cell, we wouldn’t even be able to see the tattoo.  In other words, the pigment particles vastly outnumber the cells in order for us to see and appreciate the incredible beauty (or not) of your tattoo.  If we consider the fact that the skin contains roughly 10 million cells per square inch, then we can estimate the tattoo itself is comprised of a billion particles per square inch, which is what it takes to produce a clear design.

Ink Particles In Skin

Each time the PicoSure laser fires it vaporizes a given number of the particles; we shoot a lot of pigment and it takes your body (lymphocytes) time to remove it.  It’s a physical removal process requiring each individual white blood cell to remove a single grain of ink.  After repeated treatments the tattoo will eventually be cleared – like it never even happened.  If you have a tattoo you want removed safely and effectively with the best tattoo removal laser available, I can be reached  by phone @ 512-479-9997  or just stop by my NEW location in Austin, TX:  Austin Medspa on W. 6th St.
